4 Different types of Anchor Bolts and their Uses

We, DIC Fasteners are a Supplier and Exporter of Anchor Bolts. An Anchor bolt connects an object to concrete. These bolts are made with an external thread at one end that is used to insert through holes in already constructed parts. We offer Anchor bolts in different materials and grades. All types of customized and non-customized sizes are available with us.

Anchor Bolts are a type of fasteners that are used to attach structural and non-structural elements to the concrete surface. One end of the anchor bolts is embedded into the concrete, while the exposed threaded end mates to the equipment. These bolts prevent the separation, lifting, moving, and falling of the objects to which they are fastened.

Anchor Bolts are often used in new construction projects, where the location of walls and other elements that need to be connected to the foundation is well known. These bolts require a pre-drilled hole, and they can be fastened with epoxy or with a wedge that expands to trap the bolt while it is tightened. These bolts have a particular design that keeps equipment and structures protected in place.

Types of Anchor Bolts:

  • L-Shaped Anchor Bolts:- These types of bolts are most commonly used to secure light, poles, sign structures, and heavy equipment. They are frequently utilized to support beams, ledgers, plates, and other structural parts in buildings or other structures erected on concrete.

  • Double End Rods with plate:- These types of anchor bolts have double end rods with a plate washer added to one end. This plate can either be welded to the anchor bolt itself or it can be welded to a nut embedded in concrete. Double-end bolts are primarily used in constructing columns for buildings, highway signs, and other applications.

  • Headed Anchor Bolts:- Unlike other anchor bolts, the headed anchor bolts have a forged head on their unthreaded end. It is commonly a hex, heavy hex, or square head. This head is embedded into the concrete to secure a variety of constructions including structural columns, bridge railing, and light poles.

  • Swedge Bolts:-  Swedge bolts consists of round bar steel which is threaded on one end and swedged on the other. The term swedge means the numerous indention to allow concrete to flow into them. These types of anchor bolts are commonly utilized in construction and development girders and piers.
